(Chinhphu.vn) – The plan of establishing Tan Binh town of Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province was supported by a large number of voters.

Tan Binh village had the population of 9.879 (up until 31/12/2019), consisting of 7.387 permanent residents and 2.492 temporary residents – Binh Duong province People’s Committee informed. Among these were 5.362 electors.

100% of voters have joined in the discussion of establishing Tan Binh town of Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province.

The results showed that the number of voters approving the plan of establishing Tan Binh town of Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province was 5.350, accounted for 99,78% (out of the total number of electors). The number of voters disapproving the Project was 12, accounted for 0,22% (out of the total number of electors).

Reasons given for disapproval of the Project: After the establishment of Tan Binh town the tax of non-agricultural land use as well as the tax of changing purpose of land use were likely to increase, thus leading to a number of documents in need of modification, which could affect citizens’ daily life. Simultaneously, a petition was put forward where improvement of basic infrastructure such as concreting transportation in rural areas, finding solutions for the act of invading the roadway, embellishing the city,… need to be made before establishment.
